2018 in music

Quick sidenote: As you may have noticed I changed the name of the website as well as the names on all of my social media account. I just thought it was time for something new. I can’t change my url yet, but 2019 might be the year that I’ll start my own website!

A little while ago I saw this post on Claire’s blog, talking about her year on spotify. For those who don’t know: Every December Spotify gives you a little overview from the previous year. I never thought about sharing this, but since I love music, I thought this could be a lot of fun!

I don’t remember everything the site shows you, but I know I picked the best ones to show you. First of all that’s the amount of minutes I spent listening to music. This isn’t totally true, since I share an account with my mom, but most of these 42000 minutes were used by me.

The first song I listened to in 2018 was Too good at goodbyes by Sam Smith, I still love this song to much. Sam’s such an incredible singer. It also states I discovered Wiz Khalifa, but I can’t recall every listening to him. Maybe that’s because he’s in Sucker for pain?

Well this isn’t a surprise at all. The band I listened most to were Twenty one pilots by spending 106 hours with them. They are my all time favorite band, so I obviously listen to them quite often.

The last page I picked was the overal overview. The top artists are definitly true, because I listen to them all the time. Besides Twenty one pilots I saw all of them live this year, which is awesome. I don’t understand why all five songs are by Dodie, since I’m sure I listened to other songs more often. I can’t complain though, I had her on repeat quite a lot. Top genres are quite right, but I don’t remember listening to Dutch music all that often.

What were you’re favorite artists in 2018? And which ones did you see live?
